A creation by SNA GmbH from Hamburg, which is been awarded as top-innovation by the jury of journalists and market researchers and was presented at Anuga 2021, the world’s leading trade fair for the food and beverage industry in Cologne.
“We are very pleased to receive this award. Saffron is a great product. Unfortunately, it is not yet as widely used in Germany as e.g. vanilla or cardamom. Neither in industrial food production nor in private kitchens… We want to change that. Our European neighbors in Spain and Italy, but also the Scandinavian countries, are one step ahead of us. Even in Sweden, saffron is the most popular spice,” says Mohammad Ale Hosseini, Head of Marketing and Sales at SNA GmbH. “We believe in the market for the refinement of existing products with saffron but also new creations: An exclusive taste of sauces, marinades, desserts, pastries and drinks and many other products will be refined with the aroma of saffron. With this award, the jury encourages us in our project. We excellent feedbacks and good contacts at Anuga.”
This year, the jury selected products in around 9 categories from over 1000 new products. As an IFS Food-certified company in the heart of Hamburg, SNA GmbH specializes in the processing, refinement and trading of saffron (threads and powder) as a private label manufacturer.
