“The Levant”, the first tahini boutique in the world, is now open at Fişekhane, a renovated, historical site in Zeytinburnu, İstanbul. Mohamed Hadid, Gigi Hadid’s father and a renowned real estate agent and Hassan Morshedy, the CEO of Memaar Al Morshedy also attended the opening of ‘The Levant’.
“Turkey, country of opportunities; more investments to come”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the real estate magnate, Mohamed Hadid said that he would proceed with their investments, noting that there were a great number of opportunities for investment in Turkey. ”We’re now building the world’s largest apartment building in Egypt. We go hand in hand with Hassan Morshedy at that project. Turkey also offers many opportunities. We will be here more. There are many interesting places in Turkey; like, Istanbul, Bodrum and plenty of others, where we may consider investing.”

Saying that he was very much into traditional flavors and tastes such as tahini and its forms, Hadid added, “This place will break a new ground by serving as a first tahini boutique in the world. I also love tahini very much. We will open the second branch together in Beverly Hills.”
First in the world
Trading sesame seeds, Hüseyin Çelik, the proprietor of Çelikler Gıda stated that he was happy to host foreign investors. “The Levant Tahini Boutique is the first in the world. We brought different types of sesame seeds from 14 countries. Our customers will have the chance to choose from whichever sesame seeds they like and watch them turn into tahini in front of their eyes before they buy. Tahini is a very delicate and unique product, which needs to be treated accordingly. “
