Following local and international legal binding obligations related to Covid-19 pandemic (coronavirus), recommendations of the World Health Organization, the increasing restrictions being placed on travel and tourism, and the statements of the Colombian government to ban all events in order to stop the spread of the virus, Alimentec 2020 has been rescheduled to 23- 26 of March 2021. The decision has been made after careful deliberation and extensive discussions with organisers and other partners.
Due to the overriding risk resulting from the uncontrolled spread of infection, several government restrictions, as well as the responsibility of organisers with the health of exhibitors, visitors, and stakeholders, the trade show has been postponed.
After a careful deliberation, Koelnmesse and Corferias, have considered that moving the trade show to 2021 would allow enough time to implement all safety measures to reduce health risks necessary to guarantee a successful show.
Alimentec will continue to offer an exhibition offering a complete experience for companies and professionals in the food and beverage as well as hospitality industries. During the four days of the event, exhibitors will be able to make new business contacts, check the interest for innovative products and services, develop alternative distribution and sales channels, and consolidate their corporate image.
The event will display top brands in different industry sectors including sweets snacks and confectionary, fine foods, bakery, chilled and frozen foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, beverages and everything related to the hospitality sector.
With more than 500 exhibitors and 28,000 visitors in its last edition Alimentec is predetermined to be as successful in its 2021 version.
