The Particle Technology Summit from 20-21 September 2022 in Hamburg puts particle technologies such as microencapsulation and agglomeration in focus. Leading experts from research and industry worldwide will give access to their in-depth knowledge via a series of lectures, while co-organiser SternMaid invites attendees on a plant tour and will give insights into the latest state of the art technology. Practical demonstrations will allow exploration of exciting possibilities, especially for the production of pharmaceuticals and food supplements. And finally, the evening event offers the perfect occasion for networking. All lectures will be held in English. The Particle Technology Summit will take place at the city-centre Scandic Hamburg Emporio Hotel. Registration is now open.
Attendees can expect a world-class lecture programme and practical demonstrations on microencapsulation, spray drying, granulation, agglomeration, direct compression and many other processes and technologies for a wide range of applications. Aspects such as controlled release, solubility or dispersibility will be highlighted. Central to the agenda will also be project management, from concept development and prototypes to proof-of-concept studies and scale-up. Expert speakers will explore how the therapeutic properties of pharmaceuticals and food supplements can be influenced by particle technologies, others will discuss the possibilities for special product segments such as plant proteins, and some sessions will look into sensory-related aspect such as targeted flavour release.
The exclusive speaker line-up features international experts including Dr. James D. Oxley from the Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas/USA, one of the leading researchers in the fields of microencapsulation and controlled release. Dr Michael Jacob, Head of Process Technology Food, Feed & Fine Chemicals at Glatt Ingenieurtechnik, Weimar/Germany is a thought leader at the leading-edge Wigratec+ alliance for fluidised bed granulation technology. And Dr. Mahmud Yunis is Technical Director and head of R&D at German tabletting and coating specialist Biogrund. In addition, numerous other experts from research and industry will provide theoretical and practical insights into this promising, future-proof field.
Frank Hellerung, Head of Business Development at SternMaid, comments: “We are excited that we are able to offer a professional audience deep insights into the fascinating world of particle technology as host and co-organiser, and we are proud that our summit has attracted the world’s leading experts as keynote speakers. But it’s not just about theory: we want to convey practical and applicable information that offers attendees added value for their companies and projects. Plus, this summit will offer an unrivalled platform for networking and exchange of ideas.”
