Fruit Logistica, the pivotal European event that encompasses the entire fresh produce logistics and packaging supply chain, will soon be back in Berlin (Berlin Expo Center, 7-9 February 2024). A key event, then, for the SACMI Packaging & Chocolate Tray Forming Division, a leading provider of comprehensive primary and secondary packaging solutions.

TF22 Top Seal and TF40 Imola
The recently presented TF22 Top Seal upgrades the tried-and-tested SACMI Packaging & Chocolate technology that’s been used to develop forming machines for several fields of application.
The tray former features a dual-head design, allowing it to process two different formats simultaneously. Able to handle both corrugated and compact cardboard without any modification or adjustment, its extremely fast, precise changeovers make it ideal where formats are changed frequently, even daily.
Equipped with electromechanical glue guns, the solution offers unbeatably precise adhesive strip positioning. The TF22 TS can also manage an outer edge of just 10 mm, minimizing the size of the edge in relation to the maximum blank size (processable perimeter of up to 700×500 mm, allowing the formation of large trays of varying geometries).
The TF22 TS is the perfect response to the industry’s demand for protective, tamper-proof packaging that’s suitable for a range of produce and made of several different materials (laminates, compact cardboard, etc.).
Moreover, the TF22TS can incorporate a stacker directly in the frame while maintaining a maximum floor space of just 6 m2 (stacker included).
The SACMI stand will also display the TF40 Imola, the solution that’s already setting the standard for forming platforms and trays with reinforced corners. Featuring an output capacity of up to 40 pieces per minute, this machine type maximizes packaging flexibility thanks to the adjustable die, which streamlines format changeovers.
