In 1998, Jokey opened its first factory in Gebze, approx. 60 km south-east of Istanbul. An eventful quarter of a century followed, which became a success story for Jokey Türkiye : Today, the Jokey plant in the province of Kocaeli is one of the most modern production sites for plastic injection moulding worldwide.
Jokey Türkiye celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special employee event on 09 September 2023. Against the impressive backdrop of Istanbul at night, Jokey Türkiye invited all employees to a boat cruise with a gala dinner followed by a party on the Bosphorus. “We are very proud of the performance of our employees and our leading market position, which we have achieved together in 25 years,” says Hakan Ozhuy Chairman Jokey Türkiye Ambalaj San. Products with thin walls, known as “Thinwall,” are being produced to reduce plastic usage to a minimum in line with Jokey’s and their customers’ sustainability goals. Since 1990, Jokey has reduced the weight of their packaging by 40%. This not only benefits the environment and the climate but also proves advantageous for their customers.
