Theegarten-Pactec, the packaging specialist for small-piece confectionery, food and non-food items, is presenting one of its innovations for efficient packaging at Gulfood Manufacturing 2023 in Dubai (7-9 November). At a joint stand with its long-standing partner Romaco Kilian (Shk Saeed Hall 1, Stand S1-J19), the company will be showcasing the combination of its BCW-eco packaging machine and the Romaco Kilian S250B compact press, a customised solution for packaging pressed bouillon cubes.
At the upcoming Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai, one of the largest events for the food and beverage industry in the Middle East and Africa, the focus is on improving efficiency and productivity. And when it comes to efficient and sustainable processes, Theegarten-Pactec from Dresden (Germany) is an absolute must.
This year, the specialist in the packaging of small-sized confectionery, food and non-food products will be presenting the combination of its BCW-eco with its long-standing partner Romaco Kilian’s S250B compact bouillon cube press at the joint stand. In the past, Theegarten-Pactec and Romaco Kilian presented the combination of the KTS1000 bouillon cube press with the BCW3, which packs 1,700 bouillon cubes per minute, ideal for the high-performance sector. The solution being showcased at this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing is specially designed for the medium output range. It demonstrates the combination of the bouillon cube press via direct connection to the packaging machine, which efficiently packs 750 bouillon cubes per minute.
Visitors to the stand are invited to see for themselves the exceptional efficiency and sustainability of the machine duo: The direct connection option to the press prevents products from accumulating after being pressed. This eliminates the need for the additional energy-intensive separation of the products before packaging. Instead, the packaging machine’s feed chain, which reaches directly into the press, ensures continuous product feed with a defined distance between the individual products. The design not only avoids product jams and associated downtimes, but it also enables a more compact layout of the production line and a more sustainable use of floor space.
But the sustainability of this solution certainly doesn’t end there. For example, the more environmentally friendly monofoil option can also be used on this machine combination and can be recycled and reused in the waste stream if disposed of properly. Paper-based packaging materials can also be used for the BCW-eco and S250B combination: The first reliable tests with the material, which Theegarten-Pactec has already successfully used for the packaging of confectionery in flow packs, double twist or envelope fold, yielded impressive results.
If you have any questions about the paper-based solutions and how they can be ideally integrated into the packaging process, the staff at Theegarten-Pactec will be happy to answer them at the trade fair stand (Shk Saeed Hall 1, Stand S1-J19).
