Could you give us information about GMT Food’s current product portfolio, solutions and production capacity?
As GMT Food, we started our activities in 2000 with the aim of reaching as many people as possible for a “more sustainable future”. Mainly innovation, quality and technical support; is at the core of our work. In addition, we prioritize customer satisfaction and offer solutions for the demands of our brands in the fastest way, in line with this principle.
Our innovative product solutions specific to the food industry are provided through product groups in 4 different categories. We have products covering meat, dairy, plant-based products and food service sectors.

Product groups for the meat sector; It consists of spices and spice mixtures, functional components, natural flavors and colorants. In addition, plant-based product solutions are also included in the plant-based products sector. Our functional solutions for the dairy industry help brands choose the right products.

What are your current and target export markets? What is the importance of the Middle East market for GMT Food, what are your most demanded products in the market?
Kuwait, Japan, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Jordan are our current export destinations. Our targets are Dubai and America. Since the Middle East market has a huge market share for GMT Food’s spice mixes, functional solutions, flavors and plant-based products (cheese, burgers, meatballs, sausage, sauce), it will ensure a high increase in our exports.
How was the year 2022 for GMT Foods? How do you evaluate export activities? What is the situation in your exports, what are your targets for 2023?
Due to the continued negative impact of Covid in 2022, it was a year to be considered for GMT Foods.
There has been a 15% increase in our exports in 2022 compared to the previous year. Our target for 2023 will be to increase our exports to the Middle East.
What are your solutions for the meat industry and the plant-based food market? How do you evaluate the demands from the sector for plant-based meat? How would you evaluate the development of the plant-based food market in Turkey, Europe and the Middle East?
Our solutions for the meat sector are our spice mixes, functional products and aromas that carry the taste, smell and structure profile to the upper levels. We have product solutions such as cheese, burgers, meatballs, sausages and sauces for the plant-based food market. The demands of the sector for plant-based product continue to increase day by day. The development of the plant-based food market in Turkey, Europe and the Middle East shows an increase of 30-40% compared to the previous year.
