Agropur is proud to bring home two awards for its new 6-Year Aged Agropur Grand Cheddar at the Retail Council of Canada’s 29th Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards. The company honoured to receive the All-Canadian Award, which is given to the product with the highest average score out of all products developed, created and manufactured in Canada.
Agropur’s 6-Year Aged Grand Cheddar is made at the Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil cheese factory and is sliced at the Beauceville factory. The Grand Cheddar also won the award for Best New Product in the Deli Meats and Cheeses category.
The prestigious Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards is an annual competition that recognizes the best new food and non-food products. The gala was held on June 1st in Toronto. The competition included 121 new products evaluated by a panel headed by Chef and Jury Chair Marcus Von Albrecht.
Agropur won first place with its Agropur Grand 2-year old cheddar at the prestigious World Championship Cheese Contest, making it the best aged cheddar in the world for a second year in a row.
Grand Cheddar aged for 6 years is distinguished by its composition of thermised milk, its firm texture, which becomes more crumbly with age, the presence of crystals, in addition to offering a special taste that appeals to the finest cheese connoisseurs.
