AQUA DOMINUS TECHNOLOGIES, is a young and dynamic Italian company born from the articulated experience of the founders in the bottled mineral water sector, and from the awareness and sensibility of realizing that the time had come, in the sector, ‘to change direction’.
Environmental pollution, the desire for a better use of water resources and education to respect the good ‘water’ led to the birth of AQUA DOMINUS.
The company’s commitment was mainly to create a culture of water, emphasizing above all aqueduct water, which until now has been mistreated and relegated to a secondary place on the table, overshadowed by very expensive advertisements for bottled water, which stole the scene, although sometimes with an equivalent or many times poorer product. The aim was to design and manufacture high-performance, safe and above all environmentally friendly equipment for the treatment of drinking water. The very name of the company and its logo, represented by a capital from the Roman era, are intended to restore to aqueduct water the dignity and prestige it once conferred on Roman cities.
Thus began the project to offer the public, equipment: first of all, completely Italian (a characteristic that has been lost in the past few years), and then compliant with the strictest national and European regulations. The choice was painful in terms of cost containment, but we did not delay. We wanted to present ourselves on the market only with quality products, where even the details not visible to the buyer were taken into due consideration. All the materials and components of the proposed equipment (stainless steel, polyethylene, etc.) are of the highest quality, strictly certified for food use, non-toxic, non[1]polluting, and entirely recyclable.
AQUA DOMINUS TECHNOLOGIES, distributes its products on the domestic market and in some European countries, penetrating the market with specialist agents. This market is gradually maturing and gaining awareness, with cultural and social growth. At present, AQUA DOMINUS, as it is more familiarly known, offers an articulate and composite catalogue, full of :

In addition to the product lines presented above, the knowledge and design experience of AQUA DOMINUS has also been made available to the public sector, with the famous ‘water houses’.
Technological city artefacts, designed, built and maintained for municipal administrations to serve the community. A gesture of ecosensitivity by administrators.
Real sources of public water, good and fresh, even sparkling, taken from municipal aqueducts, treated and supplied to citizens at the cost of a few cents per liter.
Important partnerships with associations and groups working in support of health and the environment ensure that Aqua Dominus conveys correct information on the world of water and the usefulness of equipment for its treatment.
The Market
The sector of technologies applied to drinking water has been experiencing interesting growth over the last 4 years, despite the economic recession and market development difficulties. Data from a CSR study commissioned by Acqua Italia, an association that groups together manufacturers of equipment for drinking water treatment, highlights very interesting data on the specific world of drinking water.
Why do they drink it?
As the graph shows, the household equipment sector, which has been growing steadily so far, offers a whole new insight.
Research data conducted in Italy, highlight five details:
1) Over 51% of Italians drink or would drink mains water.
2) 36% occasionally drink or would only drink mains water in the absence of bottled water (an indication that is definitely down on previous surveys).
3) Only 20% represent the hard core who exclusively drink bottled water and are not yet willing to give it up.
4) The number of people willing to use the equipment is clearly increasing.
5) The number of households in possession of any tool to improve the characteristics of the water they drink is 9.5%, an increase of +2.7% year-on-year and +2.1% year-on-year.
The reasons that are increasingly driving the use of such devices are essentially
- conveniences
- economic savings
- the quality and taste of water
- the ecological aspect These four points account for over 78% of the reasons for choosing such systems.
The promises of the market
A growing trend, therefore, for the population’s appreciation of tap water: more than two thirds of households, 71.8%, choose zero-mile water, and almost one in two people say they drink it ‘always or almost always’ (44%). This emerges from research data from the survey conducted by the independent Tele Survey Research institute.
What are the reasons why people prefer tap water over its bottled cousin? Perhaps laziness! The first reason is in fact the convenience of no longer having to transport crates of water from the supermarket to the home: 28.6 per cent responded in this way (it was 22.5 in 2014). But awareness of safety is also on the rise, with 20.4% of respondents saying they prefer public water because it is subject to more controls than bottled water.
The success of the increasingly popular ‘Water Houses’, a modern evolution of the old drinking fountains, is also growing. 67% of Italians are now familiar with the service. Moreover, 42% of those interviewed now live in a municipality that offers this service to its citizens, proof that Water Kiosks are increasingly widespread and appreciated throughout the country.
