Mert Emre Seyfeli, proprietor of Ahi Guven Food, evaluates 2020 with the following words:
“2020 was a challenging year not only for Turkey but also for many nations around the world. The uncertainties in the days that the pandemic started and the effect of the uncertainties to the economies turned to negative way. Nevertheless, our company, which produces and serves in the canned and frozen food industry and is an export-oriented firm, has completed 2020 in line with its targets despite all these developments. We closed 2020 with an uprising graphic in exports and sales figures thanks to the effect of the increasing demand in citrus fruits.
To briefly summarize the main reason of this success, we can evaluate it as the continuation of the investments required to progress in line with the targets without interruption, taking the necessary precautions in a timely and correct manner and giving importance to production and employment. It is also a very important factor that the food industry has some natural advantages.
The world has always gone through difficult times. Despite all the difficulties, civilizations that continued to progress have managed to overcome difficulties by developing. We see many examples of this in history. We believe that the year 2021 will be positive if Turkey continues to progress on the path of science and continues to develop agriculture-based production policies and make the necessary investments. We have to think positive. We need to stay positive during pandemic period with the developed vaccines and keep our belief that human relations will return to normal in 2021.”
