The World Halal Summit is bringing together the major players and investors of the halal sector for the sixth time. This year, the 6th World Halal Summit will be held on 21-23 December 2020 in Pullman Convention Center on the theme of “Halal for All, Halal in All Aspects, from Production to Consumption”.
Organized in association with the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), the 6th World Halal Summit will be held as a hybrid event on 21-23 December 2020 in Pullman Convention Center on the theme of “Halal for All, Halal in All Aspects, from Production to Consumption”. At the same time, the first virtual e-Halal Halal Expo in Turkey is scheduled to take place online from 21-24 December 2020.
During its previous editions, the World Halal Summit has been successfully organized under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, with the support and cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, industry, agriculture, tourism and finance ministries, relevant institutions and organizations. Last year, 67 distinguished speakers from 25 different countries attended the summit, the conferences of which were held in such areas as Halal food, cosmetics, tourism, medicine, conservative clothing, Islamic finance and Islamic lifestyle.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has significantly affected the whole world, this year the summit will be organized in a hybrid form with both physical and online international participation. In its turn, E-Halal Expo provides its trade visitors, buyers, qualified experts, Halal sector pioneers and investors from all around the globe with an opportunity to promote and exhibit their businesses, offering a space for participants to showcase their products and services based on their realistic applications. Our online platform will allow its exhibitors to meet and interact with their customers through various interactive options such as Skype, WhatsApp and Zoom among others.
Mr. Yunus Ete, President of the World Halal Summit Council and Chairman of the Board of Discover Events, stated, “We are renewing and improving the way of doing business during the Covid-19 outbreak. Following many successful editions of the OIC Halal Expo and the World Halal Summit, this year the Summit will be staged for the sixth time. At the event, which will be held with both online and actual participation of international academics, we will take all the necessary measures to protect the health of our guests by keeping our preparations at the highest level. Additionally, this year we are organizing the international online exhibition E-Halal Expo on 21-24 December 2020. This virtual event, which will take place on the specially developed virtual platform, will provide collaborative interaction between exhibitors, qualified trade visitors and sponsors. The design of our platform includes the main exhibition venue, exhibition halls, realistic stands with the 360° view along with network and conference areas. Besides, other interactive options such as digital banners and billboards will be provided. E-Halal Expo will allow for establishing collaborations with qualified buyers and offering the opportunities to meet, communicate and make agreements with new partners just like it used to be in real exhibitions”.
Drawing attention to the importance of healthy lifestyle and healthy nutrition in the current conditions, Mr. Yunus Ete said, “These days when the COVID-19 pandemic continues, it is vital to follow the hygiene rules more carefully and to eat clean and healthy food. The whole world is now trying to have an access to healthy and safe products and services. Although it is a common thought that Halal food, Halal products and services are only for Muslims, non-Muslim people are now also in search of Halal certified products due to their safety and healthiness. Within the framework of E-Halal Expo we are bringing together the major players and investors in the Halal sector”.
