Meeting with its customers in more than a thousand points in the US market, Reis Food company, a leading pulses exporter of Turkish foods, now targets to enter more than two thousand selling points in England.
The company’s activities in the US market started six years ago. Now, Turkish pulses are hotly sold in this market, whose people are seeking more healthful and more balanced dietaries. With rise, lentils, beans, and other pulses, the ‘firik’ and ‘seferkitel’ type of bulgur imported from Turkey, changes the taste of the Americans.
Following the success in this market, the company aimed to market in England. Mehmet Reis, chairman of the board, said: “We got a deal with Holland Bazaar Cash and Carry, the largest wholesaler of food, open 7/24 in London and other cities. At the first stage of the project, more than one thousand of hotels, restaurant and catering firms began to use our products. The number of customers is expected to reach more than two thousand by the end of the year. We aimed other cities, such as Liverpool, Manchester as well. Our products have all been sold in about 20 countries including Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Azerbaijan and Dubai. In five years we aim to increase our exports to European markets by five folds. With our products we are also help to all countries that wages a war against obesity by providing them our products that are healthier, and good for more balanced diets.”
