KTG, Poultry Promotion Initiative, attracted interest and orders with Turkish poultry and eggs in the major fairs held in the region, namely the Iraq Agro-Food 2013 in Erbil and Sial Middle East Fair held in Abu Dhabi.
Competing with world’s giants in the exports of poultry products and eggs Turkish poultry industry has been one of the most attractive participants in the Iraq Agro-Food Fair held in Erbil, in 18-21 November. KTG exhibited its products on a 100 sqm. stand and hosted leading representatives of buyers in Iraq. Taste experts and chefs from Turkey prepared special dishes out of Turkish turkeys and eggs. Long queues emerged for Turkish poultry stand.
KTG has been also at Sial Middle East held in Abu Dhabi, 24-26 November 2013. Business talks have been made with 50 major buyers coming from the Gulf countries, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait where Turkish poultry products are sold in the markets. Sahin Aydemir, chairman of the initiative said, “We have been visiting the Gulf countries for years, however, this time we have got a serious demand for the Turkish poultry products. Our products are increasing their penetrations in the stores. We are expecting greater contracts in the future. Both fairs were highly successful for our industry.”
KTG, aiming to increase its presence in the UAE and Gulf countries, has signed 300 million dollars of contracts with buyers in Saudi Arabia for the year 2014.
