Tukas participated in “SIAL Global Food Marketplace 2012” fair held in Paris, France, October 21-25,2012. Tukas brought in a new taste for the food world. Tukas attracted great interest with this new taste “Roasted Eggplant Sauce” in the fair which is an important meeting point of the world food sector.
Tukas took part in “SIAL Inovasyon” and “SIAL d’Or” with two products. Nihat Karadas, Tukas Chairman of the Board, claimed that Tukas represented Turkey in “SIAL Inovasyon” and “SIAL d’Or” organizations, where the innovation strategies and product & market trends would be presented, held for the first time this year. “Roasted Eggplant Sauce is a brand new sauce produced in Turkey for the first time. It has become one of the products to be exhibited in ‘Food Trends & Innovations’ exhibition within the context of’ SIAL innovation’. We are exhibiting this new and innovative product of ours for the first time abroad in SIAL fair. We will keep on presenting traditional tastes of Turkish cuisine with innovative approach to our customers. Additionally, we participated in the SIAL d’or contest that has become a tradition with our “Tukas Breakfast Sauce” product ‘Tukas Breakfast Sauce’ has become one of the nine products to represent Turkish Food Industry residing on the private platform prepared for contester products” said Nihat Karadas, Tukas Chairman of the Board.
Tukas is exporting to 22 countries with an emphasis on EU countries, USA, Japan in foreign market. Depending on the year, foreign market makes up 30 percent of Tukas’s sales. Tukas has the advantages of ISO 22.000 quality assurance system valid for international food platform. In addition, having both BRC (British Retai Consortium) and IFS (International Food Standard) certificates Tukas has a big advantage in exportation. Germany at the first pace, European countries make up the greatest share for Tukas’s exportation.
